Our Process

Working with us to plan and book your trip is a different experience than you will get when booking with a large online travel agency. Scroll for information on our booking process and most frequently asked questions.

Booking Request

The first step is to submit a booking request form giving us some initial details about your trip, like when you want to travel, where you'd like to go, and what kind of vibe you're looking for. Once we receive this request, we will inform you of the planning fee required to move forward.

Consultation

After receiving your booking request, we'll reach out to schedule a consultation where we will discuss your trip in further detail. This consultation will allow us to pinpoint the perfect choice for each component of your trip.

Trip Proposal

After our discussion, we will put together 1-3 trip proposal options for your review. At this point, you may ask questions and further discuss the proposal with us to finalize your decision.

Booking

Once you approve your trip proposal, we will send you a reservation form to get information required for all guests, along with an invoice and credit card authorization form with trip terms and conditions. Once booked, you will receive a booking confirmation, important information, and continued unlimited support leading up to your trip. Need to make changes? Add excursions? No problem. Whatever you need, we're here to assist you.

Enjoy Travel!

Your only task now is to enjoy every moment of your trip. However, if anything isn't going as planned, give us a call and we will assist in any way we can. We're still here to support you during travel and will check in with you upon your return home. 

  • What is the value of booking with a travel advisor when I can book myself online?
    With an abundance of mega online travel agencies out there, many question the value of booking with a travel agent. Here's what makes us invaluable: We qualify you to find you the best fit for your trip. You don't have to spend countless hours online doing your own research or risk making the wrong choice and booking a property that looks great online but doesn't live up to your expectations in person. As travel professionals, we leverage the exclusive insight gained from our personal experience, as well as that of our agent colleagues and other clients to ensure we are selling you a quality vacation. We offer payment flexibility by allowing you to secure your booking with a deposit and make payments over time. We act as your personal travel concierge. When you book your trip with us, we are always here to take care of any requests you have before, during, and after your trip. When you call us, you will speak with the agent who booked your trip and with whom you have already developed a rapport. You will never have to wait in long hold queues to speak with a random call center representative who isn't knowledgeable about your trip.
  • Will I get the cheapest deal by booking with Fly Getaways?
    We don't sell cheap, we sell value. What sets us apart from large online travel agencies like Expedia and Booking is that we take the time to qualify our clients to find them the best fit based on their needs, ideal vacation, and (realistic) budget. We will not sell you a resort, hotel, tour package, or cruise simply because it is cheap, without regard to quality. For example, we will not sell you a run-down, poor quality all-inclusive resort or include budget airlines that frequently have issues in your vacation package. Our goal is to ensure you have the best quality vacation. If your budget is unrealistic for the vacation you would like to book, we will let you know and find alternatives that fit within your budget or strategies to get what you want within your budget (i.e. travel on different dates, reduce number of nights).
  • Does travel cost more when booking with a travel advisor?
    All vacation packages have a commission built in. If you book with a large online trave agency like Expedia, they will get the commission. If you book with a local agency, like Fly Getaways, we will get the commission while providing you with more resources, personalized travel concierge services, and overall value for your booking.
  • Do you offer payment plans?
    Yes, if you book far enough in advance, you will be able to secure your booking with a deposit and make payments over time.
  • Do you charge planning fees?
    Starting January 1, 2025, a planning fee will be charged for each booking request. The planning fee will vary based on the type of trip requested. The planning fee includes the following: 30-minute consultation call, proposal of 1-3 options, unlimited pre-departure assistance, comprehensive pre-travel guide and packing list, in-destination support as needed. The planning fee will be waived for clients who have already booked at least two trips with us within the calendar year.
